Teaching

I belong to NCQC (Northern California Quilt Council) and the SCCQC (Southern California Coalition of Quilt Guilds), and attend their annual events called "Meet the Teachers" where we get to present our lectures and workshop classes. My lectures are of my quilts, my influences in quilt-making, why and how I make my quilts. It is a trunk show and I bring a raft of quilts for people to see, touch, inspect, and take a nap under if it comes to that. The lecture is about one hour (longer if napping happens).

Workshops - I typically teach my techniques that I have learned through the years (I made my first quilt in 1976) and I can't teach them ALL in one day - that is just too much. I do teach a workshop in one day and it will be many of my techniques. I also teach two-day, three-day, and five day classes. In the five-day class students should expect to complete a small quilt top.
